HERMIAS
HELLENIC COLLECTING AND ADMINISTRATING SOCIETY OF THE RIGHTS OF
CINEMATOGRAPHIC PRODUCERS “HERMIAS”
The
Hellenic Collecting and Administrating Society of the Rights of
Cinematographic Producers with the distinctive title “HERMIAS”
is a non-profit limited association.
It was founded in 1995 with the initiative of the Association
of Greek Film Producers–Directors.
Its purpose is the administration and protection of the rights of cinematographic
producers.
The minions of the Society are the following: the General Assembly, the
Board of Management and the Supervisory Board.
The
Board of Management consists of:

The

At
this moment, «HERMIAS» is responsible for the management of the
majority of the films of the modern Greek cinema. Well-known producers
– directors are members of Hermias, covering the last 50 years
Greek cinema production.
According to its memorandum, «HERMIAS» participates
to cultural events and supports every year the Mediterranean
Documentary
Festival, which will take place in
September 2007 for the tenth consecutive year. During
the 9 first festivals, 240 documentary films had been screened from almost
all the Mediterranean countries. Tributes
to major cinema personalities
such as Youssef Chahine, Jill Godmilow, Jean Rouch, Colline Serreau, Robert
Manthoulis, Ntinos Katsourides, Manos Zacharias and others had taken place.
Moreover, retrospective exhibitions of cinema posters by the painter Yorgos
Vakirtzis
and concerts with Loukianos Kilaidonis, Dionysis
Savvopoulos and others had been organized.
